Search Bookmarklets allow you to surf in a new way. You can select some data on a webpage (such as a word or phrase of interest) and quickly feed that data to an online service (such as a search engine).
There are many examples of Search Bookmarklets, but if you would like to make your own you can use Make Search Bookmarklet Tool. It's free.
Here's what you do:
Keep the "Make Search Bookmarklet" tool: to do that just drag the blue link below up into your personal toolbar (or Add it to your Bookmarks or Favorites):
Go to a site that has search capability and type a keyword into their search box.
NOTE: This tool only works if your keyword ends up in the URL (the Address or Location) after you do the search.
Trigger Make Search Bookmarklet to convert the URL into your own bookmarklet, which will let you react to any word on any webpage. Try it after doing a yahoo search, for instance.
